Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has congratulated defender, Kyle Walker for helping the Citizens during their 1-1 Champions League draw with Atalanta on Wednesday night.
Walker was forced to go in goal after Man City’s replacement keeper, Claudio Bravo was sent off in the second half of the encounter after he fouled Josip Ilicic.
However, Goals from Raheem Sterling and Mario Pasalic ensured both sides played a draw at the San Siro.
“Kyle Walker was suggested because of his courage and he’s quick. Congratulations to him for helping the team and going in this position,” Guardiola was quoted by Man City’s official Twitter page as saying after the match.
“You’ve got to take your hat off to Atalanta. We see them play week in week out, we know how good they are. Ask teams in Serie A. They’ll tell you how hard they are to face. We took four points from them. That’s good.”
Man City will now take on Premier League leaders, Liverpool this weekend in their next fixture.
